Welcome to the First Baptist Church of Altoona. We believe that church is not a building, but is made up of believers in Christ. We seek not only to minister to one another, but to equip each one to live a Christ-centered life that ministers to others. FBC has a multigenerational congregation and our ministries and opportunities span varied age groups. We incorporate a blended Sunday morning service that combines traditional hymns and praise/worship music. Please take a moment and find out who we are and what we believe. Real worship
We worship God through a mixture of Hymns and Contemporary praise and worship. We believe that the New Testament Church is a body of believers associated together for the worship and that worship is more than just the songs we sing on Sunday. It is purposefully praising God for who He is and the mighty works of His hands. God wants us to have a life-style of worshipping Him.

Preaching from the word of God
We believe that the Bible is supreme authority in faith and life. You will find God's Word at the center of all that we do here at FBC. Therefore you will find the preaching to be the communicating of God's Divine Truth through the historical, grammatical, and literary study of a passage while being led by the Holy Spirit.
